“fantastically interesting… Stempel was utterly compelling”Expats.cz
From 1918 to the mid-1920s, Renee Monchaty modeled for French painter Pierre Bonnard and reliably takes up one line in each of his biographies. But not the same line. “She killed herself in 1923 in a bathtub.” “She killed herself in 1925 because Bonnard got married.” “She killed herself shortly before Bonnard got married.” What is the artist’s role in the life of a model? What is the model’s role in the biography of an artist? Harmony Stempel stars in this solo show about the unsuspected power of the naked person in the room.

Synopsis & Character Breakdown

Development History

Why I wrote Complete.

Complete is a fast-paced comedy in which two obsessive linguists, a nine-year-old zealot, and a magnetic seminar leader meet head-on in a time-splitting wrangle over the power and perversion of language. When Eve discovers that Micah is doing the same self-help “Training” that twisted her childhood lexicon, what will stop her from destroying them both?
